Supermarket retailers are constantly looking for ways to lower costs and improve store operation. Distributed refrigeration systems simplify construction and installation, reduce refrigerant charge, and lower operating costs. These systems feature multiple, smaller units that are mounted on the roof or near the cases. The need for the traditional central refrigeration room containing multiple compressor racks is eliminated. Also eliminated is much of the refrigerant piping throughout the store. Less piping means fewer braze joints, less chance for leaks, and dramatically less refrigerant in a store.
