Aachen, Germany, March 18, 2014 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) is expanding its range of semi-hermetic compressors for R744 applications by three new medium temperature and three new low temperature models. With six medium temperature models, the expanded Stream MTL range provides refrigerating capacities between 9 kW and 37 kW in R744 transcritical applications. The newly launched Stream MSL range addresses low temperature applications that operate on R744 subcritical. Three models cover low temperature capacities from 16 kW to 32 kW. Stream MSL range compressors feature very high standstill pressure capability.
Stream CO2 compressors are characterized by a design pressure of 90 bar suction and 135 bar discharge. The use of high pressure designs on the medium temperature as well as on the low temperature side of booster systems ensures that in case of power outage or prolonged off-period, the refrigeration system features full resilience, no operation disruption and no venting of the refrigerant charge.
All compressor models of the Stream family are released for operation with frequency inverters and feature CoreSense™ Diagnostics, an electronic module that provides advanced compressor protection and diagnostics for improved system reliability, reduced service costs and increased equipment uptime. With CoreSense technology, service engineers can now diagnose system-related problems faster or even before they occur in order to keep refrigeration systems in an optimum condition throughout their lifetime. The diagnostics module stores compressor asset and runtime information and offers the possibility of monitoring individual compressor power.
