Solenoid and Ball Valves
Solenoid and Ball Valves
In most refrigeration applications, it is necessary to start or stop the flow in the refrigerant circuit to automatically control the fluids in the system. An electronically operated solenoid valve is usually used for this purpose. Its basic function is the same as a manually operated shut off valve, but by being solenoid actuated, it can be positioned in remote locations and may be conveniently controlled by simple electrical switches.

Emerson offers a range of normally closed and normally open Solenoid Valves that cover any application ranging from 1 kW to 220 kW. There are direct acting and pilot operated valves.

The 3-way Solenoid Valves of the M36 Series are pilot operated valves for use in heat reclaim applications.

Ball Valves are used to stop refrigerant flow in liquid lines and compressor discharge lines while maintenance, e.g. filter change.
