Copeland EazyCool™ for Low Temperatures
Copeland EazyCool™ for Low Temperatures

AACHEN, GERMANY, March 4, 2011— If a quick and simple solution for low temperature applications is requested, Emerson Climate Technologies provides this by extending its Copeland EazyCool™  ZX range. In addition to the existing medium temperature condensing units five new models, specifically designed for low temperature applications have been launched.

Frozen food is becoming more and more popular. This trend is confirmed by increasing consumption over recent years.  At the same pace frozen food is offered in more variations and at more places. No matter if bakery, convenience store, or fuel station, the requirements are all the same: Goods must be stored at a defined cold level according to the legal regulations for maintaining the cold chain. This requires reliable refrigeration solutions.

The answer to this requirement is EazyCool ZX-LE for low temperatures. With five new condensing unit models, Emerson Climate Technologies offers compact outdoor appliances for ground-, wall- or roof-mount. The standard low temperature capacities vary between 1,9 kW and 5,7 kW with R404A refrigerant.

By using Copeland Scroll™ compressors with enhanced vapor injection (EVI) these optimized condensing units offer excellent energy efficiency and an enlarged operating envelope with evaporating temperatures down to -40°C. Further benefits with regards to transport and handling are the compact dimensions and the reduced weight, as the smallest model is only 79 kg. The unique fan speed control results in the reduction of sound level down to 36 dB(A) in night mode – an important criteria for outdoor operation.

Like all units of the EazyCool ZX range, the ZX-LE models are equipped with a diagnostics module which analyzes and displays the system status in real time. Further unique equipment highlights are the oil separator and the suction accumulator which guarantee longtime reliability of the system.

The new Copeland EazyCool™ ZX condensing units are the perfect choice for low temperature applications which require efficient and reliable refrigeration and a quick system installation.
