Salute to the Troops and
Their Families
Summer heat, BBQs, family gatherings and the July 4th Holiday. It is a busy, but enjoyable time of year for all of us. We remember that July 4th is about commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence back in 1776. Just as our courageous soldiers fought for our freedom back then, our military today is defending America and its allies on many fronts around the world.
White-Rodgers is proud to have one of our own currently serving. Robert (Bert) Schmidt is a Crew Chief deployed with the 380th EAMXS supporting the KC-10 refueler aircraft. Since January, Bert has been on a 180-day rotation, and his final responsibility will be training replacements before his return home in late August this year.

Along with Bert's family, friends and customers in Northern California and Nevada, we thank Bert for his service to our country and wish him a speedy and safe return home.

Those in the military would be the first to say how important their family and friends are to them. Especially at this time of year, let's remember our brave troops and their sacrifice for us – those currently serving, those who have returned home from active duty and all their families.

The Celebration Continues
The year-long anniversary celebration included a Company Picnic and Open House for employees, their families and retirees held June 9th on the Emerson Corporate Campus.

It was a beautiful sunny day and featured a full BBQ lunch, fun activities for the kids and guided tours of the White-Rodgers headquarters offices and labs. It was an enjoyable day with lots of reminiscing and sharing of photos by all.
