Next Installment in Making Sense Webinar Series Will Explore the Application of Electronics to Improve Operational Visibility

LOUIS, September 9, 2013 — Emerson Climate Technologies, a business segment of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), announced it is hosting a complimentary webinar at 2 p.m. EDT/11 a.m. PDT on Sept. 17 titled “Using Compressor Electronics Data.” This is the third installment in its Making Sense webinar series designed to educate and inform those within the HVACR industry about new technologies, regulations, the latest trends and environmental updates.
Businesses are constantly seeking access to data to help them improve operational efficiencies and support maintenance activities. Recent innovations in compressor electronics are providing end users with operational data that enables enhanced visibility to HVAC and refrigeration systems. Attendees at this webinar will learn:

Leading the webinar will be Kurt Knapke, director, product planning and electronics, Emerson Climate Technologies. He is responsible for leading Emerson’s commercial refrigeration electronics team and helps to drive the refrigeration industry’s adoption of compressor electronics.
Knapke is extremely knowledgeable about system design, including system architectures and controls and compression technologies, and how each impact the customer’s total cost of ownership of their refrigeration systems. He is a member of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
