  13. I can't get my USB port to direct connect to my controller, why?
  14. ANSWER: New computers do not come with a 9 pin serial port anymore, unless you get a high end unit, you will have to purchase a USB to 9 pin cable. Plug in the USB cable and install the CD that come with the USB cable (USB driver). With the USB cable still plugged in open UltraSite®. Go to SYSTEM, SETUP PORTS, DIRECT CONNECT PORT, and set up the new port. OK your way out. At the site click on EDIT COMMUNICATION INFORMATION, and change the port to the new one you have now. The next time you open ULTRASITE you have to plug the USB plug in BEFORE you open ULTRASITE, or it will not recognize the communications port.

  17. I'm installing an Alarm Panel on E2 and I can't find "ADVISORY SERV" on the "Controller Applications" page. What do I need to do?
  18. ANSWER: When installing the remote alarm panel on an E2, you have to point at the 'ADVISORY SERV' application to get to the alarm output that triggers the horn (w/ override) and strobe light. However, when you use the look up key under 'Controller Application' it does not display 'ADVISORY SERV'. You have to type this in by hand and then do the look up under 'Output" for the alarm output selection. If you use Ultra-Site to program the application it does give you the 'ADVISORY SERVICES' option in the controller application look-up menu. This may be an easier option for some installer.

  19. I have an Einstein or E2 controller and can not find my MLLS. Where is it?
  20. ANSWER: Einstein and E2 do not provide a Master Hot Gas Valve or MLLS as it is referred to in the RMCC controller. Each suction group in the Einstein or E2 provides a "Group Liquid Line Solenoid Valve." This however, will only be called for when a circuit is assigned to that group. If you have hot gas systems on more than one suction group then you need to create a digital combiner to call for the MLLS valve during defrost.
