There are no existing HVAC, refrigeration, or lighting controls in the store unless specifically selected. Savings only account for in-store efficiency gains. Additional savings may be possible due to increased food quality and reduced service calls. Estimated savings are based upon prior work with various retailers. Your actual results may differ. The Energy Information Administration reports that power plants produce 2.095 lbs of CO2 per kwh using standard coal technologies. The EPA reports that the average car produces 11,450 lbs of CO2 per year. The Tufts Climate Initiative, part of Tufts University reports that the average tree consumes 8.45 lbs of CO2 per year.
