Vilter Manufacturing showcased some of the most important industry solutions at the recently held IIAR 2015 Industrial Refrigeration Conference in San Diego, CA.
One of the highlights of Vilter's booth was their energy-efficient ammonia heat pumps. This section featured Vilter's first heat
pump installation in the US. Constructed more than three years ago, it continues to deliver low-cost hot water utilizing the heat captured in the refrigeration plant. In addition to delivering energy efficiency, this system has delivered millions of gallons in water savings and reduced the strain on the host refrigeration plant by lowering the system condensing pressure. This was accomplished with a high pressure ammonia compression system. Vilter's booth made use of a touchscreen display to provide visitors with a self-guided tour of the system, along with several presentations.
Another section of the booth was total cost of ownership. Here, visitors would see how Vilter has proven that its equipment has among the lowest total cost of ownership in the industry. This low cost of ownership is accomplished through best in class part load efficiency and the industry standard for full load efficiency, providing operational savings to owners every day of the equipment’s life. With their rugged design, Vilter's compressors also last longer and provide the lowest available maintenance costs to owners. These compressors are backed by an industry-best 15-year bearing warranty.
During their technomercial on Monday, Vilter's Louis Hill also discussed the benefits of their intelligent motor starting equipment, which provides owners with a safe means to troubleshoot and diagnose operational issues.
|Vilter also introduced some time saving tools for their customers, such as the Vilter Select software. This web-based program provides convenient access to equipment ratings on just about any device you might own. A new aftermarket website is also being launched to provide instant access for identifying, sharing or buying the parts that customers might need.
Called the VIP Aftermarket Software, it will feature a state-of-the-art, easy-to-use program that includes all the tracking and availability information that customers need to support equipment in the field.
Vilter's third section in the booth focused on their commitment to the development of state-of-the-art solutions for CO2 refrigeration equipment. At its core is the Helix innovation center, currently being built on the campus of the University of Dayton in Dayton, OH. When completed, this facility will feature a Vilter industrial compressor for CO2 (currently in development) and will offer facilities the ability to test the efficient use of this refrigerant in a variety of operating conditions. Emerson Climate Technologies will have the broadest product offering of CO2 equipment from the Copeland™ lineup, as featured in the front of the booth through the industrial compressors currently under development.
In connection to this, Andre Patenaude led a session in the CO2 training seminar on Sunday. Rajan Rajendran also presented a refrigerant alternatives technical paper.
