Site Manager Release Supports New Line of Small Format Control Offerings

Retailers Using Emerson’s Small Format Controls Can Now Aggregate Fleet Data into a Single Application

ST. LOUIS, February 24, 2012 – Today Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), released a new version of its Site Manager service that offers support for Emerson’s XWeb supervisory platform, a device which provides access to operational parameters and scheduling functions for Emerson’s small format distributed controllers. This release allows retailers to aggregate enterprise data from all sites in a network of controllers regardless of whether the site is managed by an XWeb platform or by Emerson’s E2 controller.

Retailers using Emerson’s electronic small format controls with Site Manager can use a web browser to view graphical equipment status screens, access controllers via terminal mode, retrieve data logs and display watch points containing operational data in real time or for selected periods. These features increase the productivity of employees and service technicians by eliminating the need to perform manual temperature checks and by providing the information necessary to troubleshoot remotely.

Emerson’s offerings for small format stores include the XR series refrigerated case controllers for medium and low temperature applications, the XH50 anti-condensate heater controller and the iPro lighting and HVAC controller. Each device employs energy reduction features to ensure store operations consume the minimum power necessary for maintaining store comfort and food quality. When connected to the XWeb supervisory platform, these devices can be managed from a single point and monitored using Site Manager. The XWeb platform has the capacity to transmit alarms and store information, which allows retailers to easily manage all devices centrally to increase operational efficiency.

Site Manager is a supervisory control and data acquisition application that interfaces with Emerson’s various controllers. Emerson offers this application as a hosted service through its ProAct® Service Center, a state-of-the-art facility staffed 24/7 with trained technicians and facility experts.
