New Emerson 80 Series thermostats offer high-end standard features and easy installation
St. Louis, January 25, 2016 – To help contractors navigate an increasingly complex set of thermostat options, White-Rodgers, a business unit of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and part of the Emerson Climate Technologies business segment, has introduced a new line of 80 Series thermostats to offer easy choices for greater confidence and maximum comfort.
“Thermostat selection has become overwhelming. The market is overcrowded with choices, features and complexity. With our new 80 Series, Emerson is helping HVAC professionals see through the clutter and make the clear choice for comfort,” said Ed Blittschau, vice president of marketing for the White-Rodgers business. “We have been getting great feedback from the market on this new line and I hope professionals who are curious about our offering will check out our displays at wholesaler branches and visit our website
for a free sample.”
Emerson’s 80 Series includes a streamlined set of thermostats with standard features that cover every service call, including:
- Easy installation and set-up featuring a built-in level indicator, pluggable terminals and a streamlined set-up menu
- A large backlit display easily read in any lighting
- Options like keypad lockout, temperature limits and other professional grade features on all models
- Premium performance with certified accuracy to plus or minus one degree
The thermostat options are designed to help HVAC professionals select the right application for each customer. The Sensi™ Wi-Fi Universal Thermostat offers control anytime, anywhere and installs easily with no c-wire required. The standard universal model also controls up to four stages of heating and two stages of cooling. Use of this thermostat can reduce inventory with a baseline model that provides staging, auto-changeover and the most advanced features in the industry. The heat pump model is preconfigured for heat pump systems, with logic-based algorithms to control staging—even dual fuel systems are managed automatically, without an outdoor sensor. The 80 Series also includes a conventional, single-stage model that includes the same updated design and large, bright display with the advanced features every home should have.
