Will Discuss Advances in Refrigeration System Components, Energy Consumption and the Coming Generation of New Refrigerants
ST. LOUIS, May 6, 2013 — Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc., a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), announced that Craig Raney, director of marketing, refrigeration, will speak at the Multiunit Foodservice Equipment Symposium held in Austin, Texas on June 10-12. Raney will present Session #6 - Refrigeration’s Shifting Technologies on June 12 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Attendees at Raney’s presentation will learn about the recent advances in refrigeration system components, the changing landscape in energy consumption and the coming generation of new refrigerants.
Emerson works closely with hundreds of manufacturers of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Driven by energy regulations and guidelines such as ENERGY STAR®, this equipment continually evolves to become more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Within the commercial sector, foodservice has the highest energy use per square foot, due largely to the need for commercial refrigerators and freezers. All of this equipment – ice machines, refrigerators, walk-in coolers and rooftop air conditioners – benefits from recent compressor innovations, new refrigerants, and improvements in system efficiency.
Raney leads Emerson’s overall market strategy, planning and implementation of programs for its refrigeration business. His focus is to research market dynamics, define opportunities, identify synergies and work with the sales team to develop individual customer strategies. Raney, who has worked for Emerson since 1999, possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from Hillsdale College and a Master of Business Administration from Ashland University.
