Emerson Climate Technologies to Host Making Sense Webinar at 2015 AHR Expo

Unlocking the Potential of Embedded Electronics to be Broadcast Live From Booth #5010

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 7, 2015 — In an industry faced with equipment failures, a declining number of qualified technicians and increased service costs, Emerson Climate Technologies thinks it is time to evaluate the future of embedded electronics in HVACR equipment — and their latest Making Sense webinar will do just that.

The complimentary webinar, entitled Unlocking the Potential of Embedded Electronics, will be held from 2–3 p.m. CST in booth #5010 at the 2015 AHR Expo in Chicago on Monday, January 26. It will address the apprehensions of electronic connectivity in HVACR equipment and the potential that electronics and system communications have in the industry.

The webinar will feature a panel discussion moderated by Mike Murphy, editor-in-chief of The Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration News. Panelists will include John Wallace, director of innovation at Emerson Climate Technologies; Randall Amerine, AT&T; Paul Stalknecht, Air Conditioning Contractors of America; and George Hernandez, U.S. Department of Energy.

They will discuss the advantages of embedding electronics into HVACR equipment, including how electronics:
  • Accurately diagnose system problems the first time
  • Limit misdiagnoses and call-backs
  • Establish improved maintenance contracts through better communications
  • Increase productivity through prognostics that identify potential failure points
  • Improve OEM installation verification and subsequent warranty issues
