The effectiveness of forced air heating is starting to fade in the wake of reports suggesting that gas-fired infrared heating can save 20% to 50% in fuel consumption. Infrared heating actually works like the sun itself to generate radiant heat energy. Systems use three key components: a burner control box, black-coated radiant emitter tubes and a highly polished reflector assembly.
As further evidence that more and more contractors appreciate the value of geothermal heating solutions, there have been recent increased listings of geothermal piping products. They are designed to produce cost-effective and environmentally friendly methods to heat and cool buildings. Geothermal systems average 40% greater efficiency than air-source heat pump, 48% better than natural gas furnaces and 75% better than oil furnaces.
