Emerson Climate Technologies launches 6th Edition of ‘The Emerson Cup’ – an open competition promoting Green Buildings

Continuing the efforts of promoting energy efficiency & innovation in HVAC designs and applications, The Emerson Cup 2013 recognizes use of technology and system design in New and Retrofit Buildings in India.

PUNE, July 1st, 2013: Emerson Climate Technologies (India) Ltd., a business of Emerson Climate Technologies, announced today the launch of the 6th edition of The Emerson Cup 2013 awards. The Emerson Cup, an annual competition instituted by Emerson Climate Technologies, recognizes outstanding designs and innovations in Air-Conditioning projects for New and Retrofit Buildings. The competition has been ongoing for six consecutive years now and has gained unprecedented momentum in the India market providing a valuable platform for emerging trends and practices amongst industry professionals.

The Emerson Cup 2013 once again has a distinguished panel of judges consisting of industry experts in the fields of green building, energy efficiency, engineering, HVAC designs and architecture. The competition will accept nominations for energy efficient and innovative projects from India across the field of HVAC technologies.

Participation in The Emerson Cup competition is open to engineers, architects, consultants,
developers, institutional owners and end-users. The award categories for 2013 are:

  1. New Building
  2. New Building – With Emerson Technology
  3. Retrofit Building

Each award category has two winners – one for a project from metropolitan cities and another one from emerging markets. Each of these awards carry a monetary prize of US $2,000. Metropolitan cities include Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi (NCR), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai (Navi Mumbai) and Pune. All other cities across India fall under ‘Emerging Markets’ category.

The Emerson Cup 2013 nominations are being accepted now and will remain open until September 15, 2013.
