Hotel and Club
Hotels and clubs need to operate on a 24x7 basis all year round. Since the occupancy level keeps on changing over the year, there is a need for flexible air-conditioning systems. It is also essential for efficient refrigeration systems to ensure food storage and a supply of hot water for both sanitary and heating use.

To meet the requirement of efficient and reliable operations, commercial establishments can make use of multiple scroll chillers using commercial Copeland Scroll™ compressors. The operating cost in a hotel/club is an important consideration for the facility manager. Copeland Scroll compressors, equipped with vapor injection technology, provide increased energy savings for both heating and cooling.

In a hotel/club, there are multiple requirements on refrigeration in terms of low temperature (meat), medium temperature (fish) and high temperature (beverage) storage applications. Emerson has a complete range of refrigeration products for all of the above applications.

Water at temperatures from 55°C to 65°C is required in large quantities for a hotel/club for sanitary purposes. The traditional way to provide this is by using electrical resistance heat. This is an inefficient operation because the COP is 1.0. Emerson has a range of heat pump water heating (HPWH) scroll compressors which allow a dedicated heat pump to provide a continuous supply of hot water between 55°C to 65°C. The efficiency of this type of heat pump water heater is generally above 3.0, which translates to a huge amount of savings for the hotel/club.
