Integrated Refrigeration Solutions
Emerson displayed several integrated refrigeration solutions for the food retail, cold room, and food service illustrating the enhanced customer value enabled by Emerson’s broad range of compressor, controls and electronics expertise. As expectations for quality of life continue to rise, there is a growing need for reliable and efficient refrigeration technology to keep food safe during production, processing, transportation, and storage, leading to improved food quality and human health. By optimizing and combining refrigeration compressors, energy-conservation control systems, remote network monitoring systems and flow control elements, Emerson Climate Technologies’ integrated solutions offer best-in-class performance and reliability to the cold chain solutions.
One example of these integrated solutions displayed at the show is focused on supermarket applications. For this application, Emerson offers the Stream family of semi-hermetic Copeland™ brand compressors equipped with CoreSense™ Diagnostics which provides compressor protection along with facilitating preventative maintenance, to help maximize system performance and reliability. This information can then be communicated to Emerson’s E2 facility management system enabling on-site control of the refrigeration systems.
Taking it a step further, these controls can connect to a remote monitoring platform that can provide around the clock monitoring service, helping to deliver maximum energy efficiency and high quality food to the industry. Moreover, Emerson unveiled a new range of Copeland™ Scroll ZF compressors and IZSI scroll condensing units along with corresponding system flow controls and controllers for cold room applications.
Integrated Air-Conditioning Solutions for residential and commercial applications
Building on Copeland Scroll™ variable speed compressors for residential air-conditioning systems, Emerson Climate Technologies unveiled the new 10HP Copeland Scroll™ variable speed compressor integrated with Control Techniques DC drive, optimized for commercial chillers and packaged unit applications. Emerson also displayed the new 9-10 horsepower R410A Copeland Scroll Digital™ compressor based on the next generation platform with improved efficiency and compact size.
Demonstrating leadership in the HVACR industry, Emerson Climate Technologies also showcased the world’s largest 60 horsepower R410A Copeland Scroll™ compressor with CoreSense™ Communications, to be launched soon in the market. In addition, Emerson Climate Technologies has expanded its portfolio with new products designed for R410A, R32, CO2 and R290 refrigerants, offering customers a broader choice as the industry transitions to environmentally responsible refrigerants.
