EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES APPOINTS VICE PRESIDENT, ENGINEERING, REFRIGERATION DIVISION

ST. LOUIS, November 20, 2008 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), announced the appointment of Deborah Monnin to the position of vice president, engineering, Refrigeration Division.  In this position, Monnin will be responsible for the Refrigeration Division Product Engineering group.

Monnin has been with Emerson Climate Technologies for 17 years in various engineering positions including manager, reciprocating engineering; director, integrated products engineering; and, most recently, director, refrigeration scroll engineering. She has a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters in engineering management from the University of Dayton.
