Calculator Allows Supermarket End-users to Forecast Savings Associated with Intelligent Store Discus 2.0 Compressors

ST. LOUIS, July 31, 2008 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today introduced a new calculator tool to demonstrate to supermarket end-users the value of the new Intelligent Store™ Discus® 2.0 compressor. The tool is intended to allow supermarket end-users to preview the savings that will be provided by Intelligent Store Discus 2.0 compressors.

By adjusting the model parameters within the calculator to accurately reflect a store’s maintenance and refrigerant leak rates, supermarket end-users will be able to calculate the potential savings that Intelligent Store Discus 2.0 compressors will provide for their particular store. The tool will also help end-users determine their return on investment and accurately identify the precise point at which the associated savings will surpass the cost of the compressor itself.
