EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES NAMES DAVE BOEZI VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

ST. LOUIS, July 10, 2008 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced the appointment of Dave Boezi to the position of Vice President Business Development, Emerson Climate Technologies.

In this position Boezi will have responsibility for leading initiatives to identify, evaluate and pursue new business and growth opportunities. In addition, he will also be responsible for developing and managing a defined gate process to effectively evaluate and move business initiatives toward completion.

Boezi returns to Emerson Climate Technologies from his most recent assignment as vice president and general manager of operations for Clive Samuels and Associates/Emerson Retail Solutions.  Prior to CSA, Boezi was vice president and global platform leader for Emerson Climate Technologies Air Conditioning.  Boezi began his career with Emerson in 1991 in St. Louis as a manufacturing planner.

Boezi holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
