Warren Beeton Named Recipient of
the Air-Conditioning, Heating
and Refrigeration Institute’s
Richard C. Shultze Distinguished
Service Award
ST. LOUIS, March 13, 2008
– Emerson Climate Technologies,
a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR),
today announced that Warren
Beeton, vice president of
engineering for the
Refrigeration Division, received
the Richard C. Shultze
Distinguished Service Award from
the Air-Conditioning, Heating
and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
The award selection was made by
industry colleagues and is given
to recognize distinguished
service and commitment to AHRI
and the goals and objectives of
the industry.
“Our industry has benefited
immeasurably from Warren’s
contributions,” said Stephen
Yurek, president,
Air-Conditioning, Heating and
Refrigeration Institute. “His
many years of dedicated service
and expertise on behalf of our
industry in the areas of
compressor technology,
commercial refrigeration,
research and standards have been
an inspiration to his
colleagues.”
Emerson Climate Technologies has
also expanded Beeton’s role
within the company.
In addition to his duties as
Vice President of Engineering
and Technology Business Leader,
Beeton will now also provide
leadership for Emerson Climate
Technologies’ regulatory and
sustainability efforts,
reporting to Emerson’s new
Sustainability Steering
Committee. He will represent
Emerson Climate Technologies on
the Board of the Alliance for a
Responsible Atmospheric Policy,
participate in key ASHRAE and
AHRI committees and work with
government regulators and
legislators on sustainability
and environmental issues.

respected technical expert in
our industry for quite some

develop strategies in support of

Beeton joined Emerson Climate
Technologies in 1995 and holds a
BME and MME from Cornell
University in New York. He has
published numerous white papers,
has been a frequent speaker at
many industry events and
currently sits on several key
industry committees related to
government affairs and industry
standards.
