EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCES EMERSON
BRANDED THERMOSTATS BY WHITE-RODGERS
Starting in spring, White-Rodgers thermostats to carry the Emerson brand
mark
ST. LOUIS, January 22, 2008 –
Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson
(NYSE: EMR), today announced that thermostats
produced by its White-Rodgers® Division
will feature the Emerson logo, beginning in early
2008. The move is designed to fully leverage the
expertise of White-Rodgers, while elevating the
thermostats to align with Emerson’s commitment to
innovation and new technology within HVACR
electronics.
During 2008, the company will launch new thermostat
designs with the Emerson brand. Over the course of
the year, all thermostats will be transitioned to
carry the Emerson brand. White-Rodgers will still be
the manufacturer of thermostats, and will be
identified as such on product packaging and other
promotional materials. The Emerson branding will
only apply to electronic products such as
thermostats. White-Rodgers products such as IAQ
equipment, gas valves and ignition controls will
continue to carry the White-Rodgers brand.
