EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES NAMES NEW PRESIDENT OF CLIVE SAMUELS & ASSOCIATES

ST. LOUIS, January 18, 2008 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced the appointment of Alan Abramson to the position of President, Clive Samuels & Associates. Prior to joining Emerson, Abramson led and worked for various facility engineering firms, most notably as president of Syska & Hennessy, a prominent international engineering and design consulting firm.

In addition, Abramson has also worked as a consultant to a variety of high-profile clients, offering his expertise as a registered professional engineer. He brings a wealth of experience in business development and operations. He is also past chairman of the Intelligent Buildings Institute.
