EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF PRODUCT
PLANNING FOR THE REFRIGERATION DIVISION
ST. LOUIS, January 3, 2007 –
Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today
announced the promotion of Steve Hokky to the position of vice president
of product planning for the refrigeration division. Hokky has more than
18 years of experience with Emerson Climate Technologies and has held
many key roles within the company, most recently serving as director of
product planning for the refrigeration division.
Throughout his time with Emerson Climate
Technologies, Hokky has made significant progress in adjusting product
development priorities to support new products, and most recently
revamping semi-hermetic products globally and finalizing a distribution
deal with international compressor manufacturer, Embraco. In his new
role, Hokky will be responsible for overseeing the continued success of
the refrigeration division’s ongoing product planning endeavors.

product planning as we rationalize our global refrigeration platforms,
expand into new markets, and bring new technology to our traditional
markets. Steve has the knowledge, experience, and leadership skills to
further our success in these efforts,” said David Dunbar, president,
Emerson Climate Technologies refrigeration division.
Hokky joined Emerson Climate Technologies
in 1988 and has held positions of increasing responsibility including
machining operations manager for the Sidney scroll ramp up and Lebanon
and Ava plant start ups and plant manager of the Alliance JV. Hokky
earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University,
and his Masters in Business Administration from Washington University in
St. Louis, Missouri.
