EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES WORKS
CLOSELY WITH OEM TO INTRODUCE NEW REFRIGERATION PRODUCT FAMILY
Zero Zone, Inc. and Emerson Climate Technologies Continue to Expand
Their Collaboration by Creating Condensing Units and Refrigeration
Solutions Packages for Zero Zone’s New Hybrid™ Medium and Low Temp.
Reach-Ins
ST. LOUIS, July 27,
2007 –
Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR),
announced that they have worked hand-in-hand with OEM, Zero Zone,
Inc. to create a new line of pre-charged condensing units for Zero
Zone’s Hybrid™ Reach-Ins for medium and low temp. applications.
Emerson Climate Technologies first paired up with Zero Zone in
December of 2006 to bring an efficient and effective solution to the
OEM’s refrigeration application needs. Together, they designed and
extensively tested the system components, enabling Zero Zone to
deliver and install the first Hybrid™ cases with Emerson® controls
in April of 2007.
“Emerson Climate Technologies really stepped up to the plate to help
us make this a success. Our customer is very happy with the
reliability and ease of installation associated with this product
line,” said Steve Vock, sales manager at Zero Zone, Inc. “This
ongoing relationship is an ideal marriage of unique refrigeration
equipment design and existing proven technologies.”
The first end-user of the Hybrid™ is a small-box retailer who had
not previously carried refrigerated products. The turnkey
installation for this end-user was supplied by Industriaplex, Inc.
out of Atlanta. “The Hybrid™ uses industry-standard, recognized
products, like Copeland® brand compressors and Emerson controls, so
service technicians know how to interact with the equipment,” said
Eric Hickman, general manager, retail for Industriaplex. “We are
also getting great feedback on the serviceability and uptime of the
components package that is included with the Hybrid™ refrigerated
cases, from the compressor package through the evaporator.”
This new product line was specifically designed to help retailers
avoid complicated refrigeration rack and piping installation in
their stores. Zero Zone calls this benefit “refrigeration without
complication.”
These Hybrid™ Reach-Ins blend the
merchandising power of a supermarket case with the ease and
flexibility of a self-contained unit. They offer compact size,
simple connections and field-installed, top-mounted condensing
units, resulting in quicker and easier installation. And, the
pre-charged Hybrid™ Reach-Ins do not require brazing, evacuation or
charging, allowing for reduced installation cost, simplified
logistics and efficient, leak-free connections. “The cases come
from the Zero-Zone factory ready for rapid installation. The Emerson
controls are preset at the factory, and the entire installation
process can happen quickly with minimal impact on store operations,”
Hickman said.
“These space-saving and time-efficient products are great for all
types of retail food and beverage applications,” said Tom Parrish,
manager, marketing and sales services, Emerson Climate Technologies
refrigeration division. “By working with the experienced team at
Zero Zone, we have created a product that will provide a secure, yet
simple solution to retailers’ refrigeration installation concerns.”
Emerson and Zero-Zone continue to work together to expand this line
of pre-charged units for the refrigeration industry. For more
