EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES™ INTEGRATES VENTILATION PRODUCTS INTO MT. COMFORT DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Strategy designed to streamline and strengthen service to aftermarket

ST. LOUIS, August 14, 2006 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR), today announced that the aftermarket distribution of its heating and air conditioning ventilation products is now located at its Mt. Comfort Distribution Center. Mt. Comfort, located 5 miles east of Indianapolis, is now home to Copeland, Emerson Climate Technologies Flow Controls, HVACR Motors and Ventilation Products, making it a convenient partner for HVAC/R wholesalers.

The integration took effect on May 15, 2006 under the management of Emerson’s Distribution Services. Consistent with Emerson Climate Technologies’ effort to present one face to the customer, customer service support and invoicing activities were included as part of the transition. The integration of Ventilation Products into the Mt. Comfort facility is expected to give customers the immediate benefits of two-day lead time on the most popular ventilation products and freight cost savings as a result of combined product shipments and enhanced e-commerce capabilities, like B2B and EDI.

Opened in 2002, the Mt. Comfort Distribution Center features one of the most sophisticated warehouse management systems in the HVAC/R industry, managing distribution to more than 2,000 customers around the world. This state-of-the-art distribution center expands the logistical capabilities and capacity of Emerson Climate Technologies’ Distribution Services, stocking more than 20,000 of the company’s products, kits and parts. The Distribution Services division provides aftermarket support for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration customers.
