EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES COMPLETES WHITE-RODGERS® BLUES SESSION ‘06

Session a Successful Research, Communication and Promotional Tool for New Product Initiatives

ST. LOUIS (March 2, 2007) – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced the completion of its latest White-Rodgers promotional initiative, the Blues Session ‘06. The successful promotion, a new approach to product introduction for White-Rodgers, also produced insightful contractor research and a unique opportunity for Emerson Climate Technologies to interact with contractor attendees.   

Emerson Climate Technologies held the White-Rodgers Blues Session to support the introduction of the 1F80/86-0471 and 1F95/97-1277 products to the wholesale market. While promoting the White-Rodgers message of programming ease and overall comfort, Emerson Climate Technologies also utilized this session to reach sales goals, gain insight into contractor preferences and opinion and increase their White-Rodgers Blue thermostat series private label contractor base. 

“We implemented this promotion with high hopes, but never imagined that we would have such great overall success,” said Tim Burke, strategic marketing manager, White-Rodgers.  “Through this session, we were able to promote our products, educate numerous contractors about our White-Rodgers initiative, receive contractor feedback and formulate new ideas for future promotional session efforts.”

 

During the session, White-Rodgers provided the contractor attendees with a complimentary dinner, shirt and the opportunity to have their contractor name imprinted on White-Rodgers digital thermostats.  And, at the conclusion of the session series, the contractors were also able to enter a $2,500.00 Best Buy gift card grand prize drawing.  This year’s prize winner was Hank Woo of Hank’s Mechanical in San Jose, CA.
