EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES NEW NITRIDE IGNITION TECHNOLOGY FROM WHITE-RODGERS®

New Universal Replacement Upgrade Kit Easily Replaces Silicon Carbide Ignitors, Improving Reliability in Gas Furnaces, Water Heaters and Boilers

ST. LOUIS January 15, 2007 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced the new White-Rodgers® Nitride 21D64-2 upgrade kit which replaces the company’s original 21D64-1 upgrade kit.

The new 21D64-2 kit comes with everything needed for quick, reliable aftermarket replacement of silicon carbide ignitors, including a 120 Volt Nitride ignitor, universal brackets, wire nuts, instruction booklet and full three-year warranty. And, the new kit does not require a power module, which eliminates the need for additional wiring, making it even easier to install.

Emerson Climate Technologies designed this Nitride upgrade kit for longer ignitor life and fewer callbacks for contractors. As opposed to traditional silicon carbide hot surface ignitors, Nitride ignitor technology is proven to be more durable and reliable, even under the most extreme conditions.
