EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES™ INTRODUCES GET SEERIOUS™ EDUCATIONAL BOOKLET FOR CONTRACTORS
Informative 16-page booklet is designed to help contractors understand and take advantage of the opportunities presented by the new 13 SEER standard
ST. LOUIS, January 23, 2006 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced the availability of its Get SEERious™ educational booklet. The 16-page booklet is designed to help contractors understand the issues and opportunities presented by the new 13 SEER standard, so they can continue to grow their business in a 13 SEER world. The Get SEERious booklet, which was introduced at this year’s AHR (Air-Conditioning Heating Refrigeration) Expo, is available on the company’s Contractor Connection website, EmersonClimateContractor.com.
The Get SEERious educational booklet focuses on what contractors need to know to differentiate themselves and take advantage of upselling opportunities. It provides detailed information on four areas in which contractors can differentiate their business: reliability and diagnostics; indoor air quality; comfort and efficiency; and quality of installation. It also touches on a few of the major issues contractors will need to deal with, including the “repair or replace” question, the increasing use of R-410A and the need for more training.
“Now that the 13 SEER standard is upon us, it is important that contractors are aware of the major issues and opportunities, so they can have a better understanding of how they can upsell new products and services to homeowners and continue to grow their business,” said Karl Zellmer, vice president of air conditioning sales for Emerson’s Copeland Corporation. “The 13 SEER transition is a significant industry event that requires a significant amount of change. It’s our hope that our Get SEERious educational booklet will help ease contractors into a new way of thinking about their business and their customers.”
The Get SEERious booklet also features: examples of how contractors are preparing for the transition; samples of our new Tech Tip cards, which are designed to help contractors with maintenance-related service issues that will become more common with the new 13 SEER regulation; a rundown of some of the valuable resources Emerson Climate Technologies provides to contractors, including EmersonClimateContractor.com and Emerson Authorized Full-Line Wholesalers; and a look beyond 13 SEER at some of the technologies and trends that will continue to shape the future of the HVACR industry.
The Get SEERious educational booklet, along with the Contractor Tech Tip cards, 13 SEER homeowner handout and 13 SEER surveys, are a part of Emerson’s Get SEERious campaign, which is designed to educate contractors, distributors and homeowners on 13 SEER and help lead the HVAC industry through a smooth transition.
