EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES™ ACQUIRES LEADING UK-BASED REFRIGERATION DESIGN AND CONSULTING COMPANY

ST. LOUIS, December 14, 2005 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced the acquisition of Oaksmere Refrigeration Design and Consultancy Ltd, the leading provider in the United Kingdom of design expertise, project management and maintenance management for the supermarket retail industry.

With offices in Pontefract, Yorkshire, and Stowmarket, Suffolk, the UK-based company has customers throughout the United Kingdom, including Marks & Spencer, Sainsburys, Waitrose and Asda.
