EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCES CONDENSING UNITS CONTAINING COPELAND SCROLL™ COMPRESSORS
New scroll condensing units offer restaurants and foodservice organizations an innovative refrigeration solution
CHICAGO, May 23, 2005 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today introduced its new condensing units that contain Copeland Scroll™ Compressors. Developed by Emerson’s Integrated Products division, the new units are designed for commercial refrigeration applications and will be on display at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) show May 21 to 24 (Booth 2605).
By combining the proven reliability and efficiency of Copeland Scroll compressors with the existing benefits and performance of Emerson’s condensing units, these new units represent the company’s continuing efforts to provide customized, integrated solutions for customers worldwide.
The scroll condensing units, designed for medium- and low-temperature commercial refrigeration applications, are an ideal choice for restaurants and foodservice organizations. They are optimized to work with R-404A, an HFC refrigerant that is a reliable alternative to replace R-22, which is scheduled to be eliminated from use in 2010. The condensing units also feature innovative Emerson technologies such as the EK Filter Drier and the Hermetic Moisture Indicator, both of which are also designed to work with the new HFC refrigerants.
“The introduction of our Copeland Scroll condensing units is an excellent example of our continuing efforts to leverage the latest in compressor technology, delivering the broadest condensing-unit product line possible,” said Tom Parrish, marketing manger for Integrated Products. “With this new unit, restaurants and foodservice organizations can enjoy the greater reliability, quieter operations and lighter weight offered by our Copeland Scroll compressors.”
