On some refrigeration systems requiring oil
management, an oil separator traps most of the oil from the discharge gas
limiting the amount of oil in circulation. The oil is then stored in a
reservoir and fed evenly to each compressor through a float system.
Oil filters and filter-driers prevent unwanted system contaminants from
damaging compressors, increasing system life cycle.
