Submitted projects will be evaluated based on innovations in the following:
|1. Design Approach|
Accounting for a significant share of the evaluation criteria, design approach includes an inclination to sustainable design that values the environment and the use of natural resources – such as solar power or wind patterns – as a fundamental aspect in designing or modifying a project while maximizing the use of energy efficient and ecological materials. Also taken into consideration is an improved load optimization and reduction that enhances the building's capacity, performance and energy efficiency ratio while reducing cooling demand, the Material Technology as well as the Water Efficiency in the System.
|2. Energy Efficiency|
One of the key focuses for project evaluation is the overall energy efficiency of the building that reflects its sustainable design. The project should exhibit fine practices such as the use of renewable energy, good strategy in system integration and control, high energy efficiency etc. The actual measured energy usage is also required as a design proof.
|3. Environmental Quality – Indoor and Outdoor |
Environmental quality underscores the use of eco-friendly refrigerants or those that have low global warming potential and ozone depletion potential. Further, observing precise thermal comfort and air quality while maintaining low sound for acoustic quality are some factors that will also be accounted for. Incase of Cold Chain Projects, maintenance of temperature, RH levels, product quality and other parameters would be taken into consideration while evaluating the projects.
|4. Economics |
Another factor that affects project evaluation is the building's life cycle cost, or the total life span cost to purchase, install, operate, maintain and dispose the project. An analysis of the life cycle cost of a project translates to the selection of the most reliable option among different solutions – providing the best return on investment.
|5. Technology |
The nominated project's reliability of design or its ability to withstand time and other related factors while maintaining simple procedures for operation and maintenance will also be measured. An ability to cater to a wide range of modulation capacity based on demand and scalability, will also be assessed. Usage of intelligent systems and controls will also help in differentiating your project from others
