Kecha Thirakomen graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in Chulalongkorn University. He began his career supervising design and installation of air-conditioning systems for projects such as the Thai Military Bank and the Flight Simulation Training Center Building of the Thai Airways International among others. He also supervised projects on fire protection and designed various mechanical works on residential and commercial establishments in Bangkok.
He started working for Environmental Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. as a Design Department Director for four years before becoming Managing Director. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the company, now known as EEC Engineering Network Co., Ltd. The company has diversified to become a private engineering conglomerate, establishing a number of specialization companies involved in engineering systems management, design and implementation.
Under his leadership, EEC provides engineering services that preserve the environment. The company's vision, "Green and Sustainable" design concepts, incorporate energy efficiency, environmental and safety design.
He has worked on several high profile projects in Thailand and other countries. Some of his noted works overseas include the Hamad Medical City in Doha, Qatar and the Bashundhara City Mall in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Mr. Thirakomen was awarded the Energy Conservation Engineer in 1998 by the Ministry of Science, Technology & Environment. He was also the Distinguished HVAC Engineer in 2008 by the Air Conditioning Association of Thailand.
He is a member of the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT), Consulting Engineer Association of Thailand (CEAT), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), USA.
He has published literature on mechanical and electrical engineering and served as lecturer and professor in Building Technology, Architecture & Planning in major universities in Thailand.
