Mr. Pankaj Dharkar is an Engineering graduate of 1980 batch of GSITS - Indore with distinction and specialization in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He started his career with Voltas Ltd. for 10 years and then joined M/s Dikshit Consultants and Engineers Pvt. Ltd. where he handled several projects in various fields for 17 years.

He heads M/s Pankaj Dharkar & Associates, with offices at Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Surat, Indore and Bangalore. Mr. Dharkar has over 29 years of experience in the field of MEP. He was credited with the design and installation of more than 2,800 projects. At present, he is handling 250 projects in all possible applications.

He is also associated with several luxury hotel chains such as The Park, Grand Hyatt, West Inn and Four Seasons. He received the LEED Platinum award on one of the project of L & T (QA) Block which is now rated as the 3rd Greenest building. He was a consultant for Benta Pharma in Lebanon and is now doing prestigious projects at Vietnam and Bangkok. He was associated with the School of Building Sciences and Technology (CEPT) at Ahmedabad as a visiting faculty, and is also an active member of ASHRAE, ISHARE and IGBC.

Mr. Dharkar was awarded the Grade of Life Member of ASHRAE and was elected as the Nominating Alternate Committee Member, region-at-large since 2003. He has been on the International Committee of American Society of Air-conditioning & Refrigeration and traveled all over the world to attend the expositions, meetings and seminars on HVAC&R.

He was a former President of ASHRAE Western India Chapter and is currently coordinating ASHRAE activities in India. In last 2 years, he has received the Red Ribbon award in September 2003 at the Regional Conference in Cairo, Egypt and the Blue Ribbon award in September 2004 at the Regional Conference in New Delhi, India.

Mr. Dharkar was the Chairperson of Membership Promotion Committee for ASHRAE Western India Chapter. At present, he is nominated as the alternate member for RAL ASHRAE.
