Conventional systems shut off when the designated temperature is reached. A modulated system runs continuously. Once the desired temperature is reached, capacity levels in a modulated system lower to maintain the desired temperature. The system, therefore, more closely matches the homeowner’s comfort needs. This unloading capability equates to cost savings for the end user.

Quieter Operation

Today’s market puts a high emphasis on low-sound systems. The Copeland Scroll^® is by far the quietest compressor in the industry. Since its compression is accomplished through a continuous, smooth process, there is no noise, pulsation, or vibration associated with valves or piston strokes. Due to the low sound characteristics of Copeland Scroll^®, there is no need for a sound insulation blanket or a discharge muffler.
